Продолжительность: 5-6 hours

We invite you to visit the westernmost point of Russia- Baltiysk (Pillau). The history of this town began in 1510 when the strait Pillau became navigable and it was the time when the first settlers came there and founded the town. In 1626 Gustav Adolph the Great, the king of Sweden, founded the Swedish reinforcements and used the city as an important base in the Swedish- Prussian war.

But the real creator and initiator of Pillau development became the Great Elector George Wilhelm. In 1679 he began the history of Brandenburg-Prussia and thus the German Fleet history. Today Baltiysk is a major military naval base of the Russian Navy. Till recently the town was closed for tourists.

During your interesting tour around the town you will see 32 meters lighthouse built at the beginning of the XIX century on the design of Shinkel, the old church, the Swedish citadel, hotel “Zolotoy Yakor (anchor)”, famous North pier, military ships and many other things, you will also take a trip on the ferry to Baltic Spit – the unique place on the Baltic Sea coast.
